REAL(tor’s) Big Dog

I suppose before fitness and hair style (see previous posts), I had to have a place to live in my new big city of Houston. So I’ll backtrack a little here and brag on the wonderful realtor that we had during our relocation. We had been living in the Middle East prior to our move, and we knew quite a few people there from Houston.  A recommendation was made from a good friend to contact Mike Mahlstedt at Martha Turner Properties.  We spent a lot of time with Mike:  days were spent riding around town looking at homes, countless hours of  phone time were spent hashing out details before we finally ended up in just the right house for us.  He went above and beyond in every respect, and I can tell you he has a big heart. I can also tell you that he has a really BIG dog!   Ever since I heard about Hank, I knew I had to get my lenses on him, and am I so happy I got the opportunity!  There are many adjectives to describe this dog (pony?):  Regal, elegant, ginormous, and cutely goofy all at the same time.  He’s a natural in front of the camera, and I have many more ideas about future photo shoots with this guy. Oh, and what’s even better?  Part of the shoot included a couple of Hank’s buddies:  Danielle, a flirtatiously lovely black lab,  and Walter, an unassuming, congenial yellow lab. I haven’t met their person yet, but I hear she’s pretty cool. She was sure cool to let a stranger run around her house and yard taking pictures of her dogs and setting off her security alarm!  By the way,  Hank is a Great Dane, and getting to spend time with the 3 of these dogs was a photographer’s dream.  Let’s get the pawty started!
